Gianfranco Dalle Mese writes on LinkedIn: We often ask ourselves: “What will tomorrow’s leather look like?” It’s not an easy question, especially when we’re working with a material that’s been around for millennia.
But the answer is that the leather will be exactly as it is today, just as it has been for thousands of years. What is changing before our eyes is the way we treat it: innovative technology, sustainability, durability.
We are already experimenting with new methods to improve quality and reduce environmental impact, but we never forget the basics.
In the end, the heart of our work remains the same: to take something raw, a by-product, and turn it into something beautiful. Something that lasts over time and that has the power to tell who we are.
And who knows, maybe one day we will have even more insights into the future, but for now we can only imagine it and do everything we can to improve it starting today.
