We are thrilled to welcome new signatories to the Joint Statement on Durability in the PEF for Apparel and Footwear.

The International Council of Tanners (ICT), the Leather and Hide Council of America (LHCA), the AQC Association pour l’assurance qualité des fabricants de bracelets cuir (AQC) & Alligator Intelligence, as well as Mohair South Africa & the Asociación Internacional de la Alpaca share the concerns expressed by COTANCE (Leather), International Fur Federation (Fur), International Wool Textile Organisation (Wool) & European Confederation of the Footwear Industry (CEC)  (Footwear) on the durability metrics developed by the A&F PEFCR.

This growing coalition showcases the producing industry’s global commitment to fair rules for calculating the environmental footprint of fashion products and urges the A&F Technical Secretariat to reconsider its approach to durability metrics.
