It’s a simple, yet powerful and irrefutable statement that leather lovers need to be saying in unison to fight the misconceptions used by well-financed activists to target leather. There are two certain categories – “Truth” and “Fiction.” The space in between is a “grey” area where activists live, breathe and “spin” their calculated claims.

When it comes to leather, activists blur reality by invoking “Animal Cruelty” claims from their anti-fur and anti-beef movements to weaken consumer demand, influencing retailers purchasing options with a goal of decimating the leather industry.

They build the illusion that somehow, like baby seals and foxes, cattle are killed for their hides. They utilize their Anti-Beef movement to build the illusion that buying leather goods directly leads to killing more cattle.

OBVIOUSLY, IT IS NOT THE TRUTH – BUT THE ILLUSIONS ARE POWERFUL AND THEY KNOW IT.

3. Focus: Keep focused on the specific statement you object to and don’t get pulled into the “grey area” (where they try to complicate and confuse).
4. Simple Facts: Use strong, irrefutable, and simple facts.
