Mirjam Bänninger is a technical expert with several years of experience working in the leather and fur manufacturing industry. Since the start of her professional career, she has been faced with topics such as sustainability, animal welfare and durability.
As Group Product Manager for the OEKO-TEX® LEATHER STANDARD, Mirjam’s aim is to maintain the company’s high quality expectations and thus works closely with the other institutes of the OEKO-TEX® Association to continuously develop the certification according to market demand, in consideration of international legal regulations and marketing-oriented decisions.
To strengthen her knowledge on an academic level, Mirjam completed her Bachelor’s degree in Textile Business Management at the University of West London. Sustainability, supply chain management and leather were her main focus in several papers and her thesis.
