The UN Sustainable Development Goals and the EU Green Deal policy suggested a number of actions to lower CO2 emissions in the atmosphere and to cut back on the use of fuels and plastics derived from coal and gasoline. In this regard, a new generation of materials is being proposed globally that make sustainability claims that aren’t always supported by science. The speech will cover a number of subjects, including end-of-life options, eco-design, and the new European standards for biobased materials.
