Fernando Bellese is a marketing and sustainability professional with over 20 years of experience. With a Master’s in Tourism, Environment and Social Development from King’s College London, and certified in Environmental Leadership by the University of California, Berkeley, Fernando has spent the last 13 years engaged in important sustainability discussions and initiatives in the fashion, automotive, leather and beef sectors. As Senior Director, Beef and Leather Supply Chains for WWF US, Fernando is continuously engaged in important discussions and projects to create market conditions that conserve the world’s natural habitats while providing economic and social benefits for businesses and people that depend on them.
Fernando actively participated in various national and international initiatives such as the Leather Working Group, the Brazilian Roundtable of Sustainable Livestock, ZDHC, UNECE and Leather Naturally. In this capacity, he contributed to important discussions on innovation, supply chain engagement, traceability, carbon and environmental footprint, transparency, animal welfare and responsible chemical management in the global leather and beef sector.
