Dr. Thomas Walther Schmidt, pursued his studies in Chemistry and Material Science at the University of Wuerzburg in Germany. He completed his PhD thesis in Nanotechnology at the Fraunhofer Institute of Silicate Chemistry in Wuerzburg, Germany, and later conducted postdoctoral research on Thin Layer Photovoltaic Panels at the University of Durham in the UK. Dr. Schmidt’s industrial career began in 1999 when he joined adidas in Guangzhou, China, where he focused on Social & Environmental Affairs. From 2001 to 2014, he served as the Director of Innovation at TIGER Coatings in Austria. Since 2014, he has been associated with Huafeng in Putian, China, leading the Innovation & Creation department. Throughout his career, Dr. Schmidt has received numerous international innovation awards, including honours such as ISPO Best Product, DIA (Hangzhou), IET (London), PCI Award, and the Upper Austrian Innovation Award.
