PrimeAsia comments on its 2023 Sustainability Report

We are excited to announce the launch of our 2023 Sustainability Report. This report reflects on our progress as we close out our 2019-2023 targets, while setting the stage for our Sustaining Excellence, Preserving Tomorrow strategy.


Some of our key achievements include:

  1. Water efficiency and increasing recycled water: Our tanneries have made great strides in driving water efficiency, along with an increase in the amount of recycled water that we have been able to incorporate into our operations. We exceeded our five-year target for water efficiency and drove significant progress toward increasing recycled water usage throughout our processes.

  2. Science-based target approach: At the end of 2023, we signed a commitment letter to set ambitious emissions reduction targets, in line with the latest climate science, within 24 months. This is our first step toward setting time-bound measurable targets for Climate Action. We have set 2023 as our baseline year for our corporate carbon footprint and look forward to sharing more details from the findings in this report.

  3. Transparency and reporting: We believe that transparency is crucial to building trust and accountability. Our comprehensive sustainability reporting in 2023 reflects our commitment to open dialogue about our sustainability performance and challenges. We will continue to build on this open reporting framework year over year, providing clear data on our progress and sharing stories from people driving this work along our value chain.
