Brief Review of Mulberry Sustainability Report

Harriet Gardiner, Sustainability Coordinator at Mulberry England, writes on LinkedIn: Mulberry England’s third (!) Sustainability Report was published today. This has been my favourite report to work on so far and includes a nod to our recent B Corp Certification and the new Five Cs sustainability strategy.

Here are my highlights from the report:

  • Climate: Generating Green Energy (page 13) – last year we installed solar panels on the roof of The Willows, our second UK factory in Bridgwater.

  • Cultivation: Material Innovation (pages 18-19) – an update on our material sourcing targets, first mentioned in our 2021-22 Sustainability Report.

  • Craft: Made in the UK (page 26) – this page explores our ESG audits, in collaboration with Sustainable Leather Foundation.

  • Circularity: Mulberry x Stefan Cooke (page 34) – a collaboration championing pre-loved styles via the Mulberry Exchange, need I say more.

  • Culture: Community Hours (page 46) – In 2023, Mulberry employees donated 1135.5 hours of their time to volunteering. This spotlights Team Mulberry taking on Hadrian’s Wall, where we raised £20,000 for Brake, the road safety charity (if you look closely, you can spot me in the team photo).

About APLF

We bring leather, material and fashion businesses together: an opportunity to meet and greet face to face. We bring them from all parts of the world so that they can find fresh partners, discover new customers or suppliers and keep ahead of industry developments.

We organise a number of trade exhibitions which focus on fashion and lifestyle: sectors that are constantly in flux, so visitors and exhibitors alike need to be constantly aware both of the changes around them and those forecast for coming seasons.
