Speciality coatings and treatments business Stahl has been awarded a Platinum rating by EcoVadis for the third year in a row. By ILM.

It also marks the highest overall score for the company to date – 85 out of 100, and reportedly places it in the top 1% of assessed companies.

Stahl started with a Bronze rating in 2015 before moving to Silver in 2017 and 2020, Gold in 2021 and Platinum from 2022 onwards.

EcoVadis updated its rating process for 2024, and evaluates across four key pillars; Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.

The company awarded Stahl a score of 90 out of 100 points on Environment, 80 out of 100 points on Ethics and 90 out of 100 points on Sustainable Procurement.

Laura Willemsen, Group Director Sustainability and Marketing at Stahl, said: “The continuous improvement in our EcoVadis score is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our global teams. Achieving a Platinum rating for three consecutive years in such a competitive landscape is no small feat.
