Logistics - Faster Maritime Route inaugurated between China and Bangladesh

Business Inspection writes on LinkedIn that The China-Chattogram maritime route has resumed operations with the arrival of MV Kota Anggun at Chittagong Port. The vessel, carrying 552 containers from China’s Port of Ningbo-Zhushan, completed the journey in nine days, bypassing Singapore, Malaysia, & Colombo.

Previously, the journey took 20 to 25 days using indirect routes. The new direct route is expected to significantly enhance trade between Bangladesh & China, facilitating faster imports of machinery & raw materials while supporting Bangladesh’s export of jute yarn, hide, & processed hair.
