Important back-to-school collection from Ecuadorean shoe company

Ecuadorean footwear manufacturing group Buestán has said a new back-to-school collection that it is bringing to market now represents an important step for the company and for the country. By Leatherbiz.

It said the collection has involved the largest investment it has made since the covid-19 pandemic.

It argued that coming back strongly from covid-19 to produce an extensive back-to-school collection of good-quality shoes also shows its firm commitment to shoe production in Ecuador. It pointed out that many footwear manufacturers in the South American country closed their doors during the pandemic and have not been able to recover.

The shoes on offer for children’s return to school use only sustainable materials, Buestán has said, highlighting natural rubber in the soles and leather in the uppers.

It said it insisted on using leather in the shoes for the material’s comfort, durability, flexibility and resistance. It has chosen to use leather in a range of sports shoes that make up part of the connection.

“We want to meet the expectations of parents and teachers,” the company said, “and provide children with high-quality products to help their academic and athletic development, and in their daily lives.”
