Francis Tsang, co-founder of the ChromeFree Leather Alliance, writes on LinkedIn that one way to help make your leather boots last is by having them repaired. Our Vibram Group Sole Factor workshop is located in Shenyang City, China, and offers various repair services such as resoling, repairing broken eyelets or lace hooks, and leather conditioning.
The journey towards sustainability starts with products that can be repaired for longevity. Leather needs very little in the way of lifetime maintenance, and it is easy to do at home; it does not draw heavily on resources for laundering and drying, for example, and we increasingly see the revival of artisan skills/offering repair services for treasured leather goods.
We bring leather, material and fashion businesses together: an opportunity to meet and greet face to face. We bring them from all parts of the world so that they can find fresh partners, discover new customers or suppliers and keep ahead of industry developments.
We organise a number of trade exhibitions which focus on fashion and lifestyle: sectors that are constantly in flux, so visitors and exhibitors alike need to be constantly aware both of the changes around them and those forecast for coming seasons.
