Eco-conservation on the Tibetan Plateau

Francis Tsang writes on LinkedIn: Protecting Tibetan herders is a matter of cultural and social justice and a vital strategy for ecological conservation. By safeguarding their rights and practices, we promote the health of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau and the essential water resources it provides, benefiting local communities and broader regions across Asia.

The Tibetan Plateau is home to diverse flora and fauna. Sustainable Yak herding practices contribute to ecosystem conservation and prevent overgrazing. Tibetan Herders often use rotational grazing techniques that help maintain soil health and promote plant regeneration, which is crucial for sustaining biodiversity.

We are not the manufacturer of Yak Leather but are the porters of the Tibetan Plateau.

About APLF

We bring leather, material and fashion businesses together: an opportunity to meet and greet face to face. We bring them from all parts of the world so that they can find fresh partners, discover new customers or suppliers and keep ahead of industry developments.

We organise a number of trade exhibitions which focus on fashion and lifestyle: sectors that are constantly in flux, so visitors and exhibitors alike need to be constantly aware both of the changes around them and those forecast for coming seasons.
