IULTCS announces 2025 Young Leather Scientist Grant Programme

The International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS) has announced its Young Leather Scientist Grant Programme for 2025. Report by ILM.


The grants were created to give the IULTCS a way to make a direct contribution to leather research and young scientists. Winning work is presented at the following IULTCS Congress.


The categories are the Basic Leather Research Grant for €1,500 (sponsored by Tyson Leather), the Professor Mike Redwood Sustainability/Environmental Grant for €1,000 (sponsored by Leather Naturally) and the Leather Machinery/Equipment Grant for €1,000 (sponsored by Italprogetti).


Applicants must be no older than 35 at time of submissions and must be a student or scientist at a university or leather school.


The deadline for submissions is November 30, 2024, with the winner being announced on January 30, 2025, and the awards being paid on February 15, 2025.
