The US will be Kurt Geiger’s ‘growth story’

London-based handbag brand Kurt Geiger is to open 50 new stores in the US before the end of the decade. By Leatherbiz.

Chief executive, Neil Clifford, has told the BBC that the US will be “our growth story for the next three or four years”. He was speaking after the company reported revenues of £360 million for the 12 months ending in February 2024, growth of 10% year on year.

Sales in the US accounted for £255 million, which the company said was more than 100 times higher than its US revenue in 2018.

“The US is the biggest consumer market in the world,” Mr Clifford said, “consumers are wealthier and they love shopping.”
