Leather manufacturer Bridge of Weir, a part of the Scottish Leather Group, debuted its next-generation bio-based leather at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California. By Leatherbiz.
The new BioTAN technology, developed over four years, increases bio-content in leather production while eliminating fossil fuel-derived components and heavy metals. This sustainable leather made its first appearance in the interior of a restored, electrified Porsche 911 by Everrati.
The debut marks a significant step in Bridge of Weir’s efforts to produce environmentally sustainable leather, supporting the goals of luxury car manufacturers like Aston Martin and Jaguar Land Rover. Everrati’s CEO praised the partnership, noting the alignment with their commitment to futureproofed, sustainable luxury.
We bring leather, material and fashion businesses together: an opportunity to meet and greet face to face. We bring them from all parts of the world so that they can find fresh partners, discover new customers or suppliers and keep ahead of industry developments.
We organise a number of trade exhibitions which focus on fashion and lifestyle: sectors that are constantly in flux, so visitors and exhibitors alike need to be constantly aware both of the changes around them and those forecast for coming seasons.
