33rd Olympiad - Louis Vuitton’s leather elegance for Paris 2024

As the Paris 2024 Olympic Games begin today, Louis Vuitton will play a significant role in the event. This will involve providing customised trays for medal presentations. By Leatherbiz.

The luxury house will offer bespoke trays created by Louis Vuitton artisans at their workshop in Beaulieu-sur-Layon, located in the Maine-et-Loire region. These trays will showcase the Maison’s iconic Damier canvas on the outside and will be lined with matte black leather, inspired by the Louis Vuitton “Torches and Medals” Trunks. Each tray is designed to hold between two and six medals, which will be made by the renowned jeweler Chaumet.

Additionally, the leather-lined trunk was used to transport the torch to the Games, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and luxury.

Louis Vuitton has also designed custom unisex uniforms for the medal bearers, drawing inspiration from the fashion trends of the 1924 Paris Olympics.
