Automotive - Success for Renault Group in Europe in H1

Renault Group has reported its financial results for the first half of the year, when sales were up 1.9% to 1,154,700 vehicles. By ILM.


In the European market, the company sold 847,623 vehicles and ended the period as the third market leader, up by 6.7% year-on-year while the market overall grew 5.5%.


The Renault brand alone sold 535,238 vehicles in the region, up by 8.2%, while the Dacia brand was up 4% to 309,816 vehicles and Alpine grew 47.7% to 2,569 registrations.


The company also highlighted its electric vehicles growth, which made up 29.6% of sales in Europe, up 4.3 percentage points year-on-year.


Outside Europe, the group achieved market share of 10.8% in Turkey, 5.3% in Brazil and 1.5% in Morocco. Meanwhile, Renault will be relaunching in South Korea soon.
