This TikTok channel receives mind-blowing views on videos on how to repair vinyl or ‘vegan leather’ seats and consoles in cars. With almost 700k followers and videos watched in the tens of millions (the highest being 77m views), this must highlight one of the many issues with fake leather – durability.
Genuine automotive leather on the other hand is high quality and made to last, and it most cases will last longer than the car. Maintenance is a simple wipe with a damp cloth and the occasional use of an approved conditioner to keep them looking like they did on day one.
