The EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles reports that 25-40% of all materials used in fashion are leftover or become waste. How many other materials have the same potential for circularity that leather does? I’d guess that the answer is not many.
There are lots of issues around materials but leather can be part of the solution.
