In this new factory, robots tend to mushrooms but instead of picking them they create luxury leather. By Cool Green Tech on LinkedIn.
The facility is filled with mycelium which is the root structure of mushrooms. This mushroom leather is called Reishi and it has a similar hand-feel, strength, and durability to high-end leather.
Its maker MycoWorks says its new factory will help meet growing demand for high-end leather that is both animal and plastic-free.
