2 March 2023
The tools and solutions already available on the market to track raw materials and inputs in the leather industry will soon be shared at the CICB Sustainability Forum – central theme: Paths to Traceability. The event takes place on March 8, at the Fimec fair, in Novo Hamburgo (RS), starting at 2 pm (Brazilian time), in person only. Simultaneous translation will be available full time in English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Free registrations can be made here.
The program includes lectures and debates with various links in the production chain. Representatives of the Brazilian Beef Exporters Association (Abiec), the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA), tanneries and technology companies for the compliance of raw materials (from livestock to industries) are confirmed.
It will be an opportunity to learn about Brazil’s status in the area of traceability, the horizon for improvement and results on this topic and the services in use around the world for deliveries to market demands. The afternoon of debates will bring together the entire range of suppliers and customers seeking traceability for products in the fashion, automotive, furniture and other industries that have leather as their main pillar in sustainability. With the realization during Fimec, the interest group is strengthened in number, knowledge and relevance for the sector.
The event was created by the Brazilian Leather project, an initiative of the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).
Gold Sponsorship: Niceplanet, GER, Feltre, IDH and Abrameq with Master, NBN and Bremm Peck. Silver Sponsors: Units Brasil, Midori Auto Leather, Sincurt and Viposa.

We bring leather, material and fashion businesses together: an opportunity to meet and greet face to face. We bring them from all parts of the world so that they can find fresh partners, discover new customers or suppliers and keep ahead of industry developments.
We organise a number of trade exhibitions which focus on fashion and lifestyle: sectors that are constantly in flux, so visitors and exhibitors alike need to be constantly aware both of the changes around them and those forecast for coming seasons.
